Russell W. Dryer Obituary
Russell W. Dryer of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away on October 16, 2013 at his home.

He was born on January 2, 1927 in Adrian, Michigan to Guy and Gladys (Upton) Dryer.

Russell is survived by his wife Maryrose (Mayo); three children, Susan Faley, Sandra Lemke and Guy Dryer; five grandchildren, Heidi (Douglas) Achenbach, Morgan Martin, Andrew Martin, Guy Dryer and Russell "Rusty" Dryer; four great grandchildren, Lucas Achenbach, Carter Achenbach, Chandler Dryer and Chase Dryer; one brother, John "Jack" (Ila) Dryer; and one sister-in-law, Lois Dryer.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; and three brothers Harland Dryer, Donald Dryer and Earl Dryer.

Mr. Dryer was a member of the Hillsdale First Presbyterian Church and attended the Westside Baptist Church in Gainesville, Florida during the winter. He served our country in the United States Army during W.W.II. and was a member of the 101st division. He was a Prototype manager at Allied products in Hillsdale where he worked for 40 years. Russell was also a member of the Tiffin RV Club. He enjoyed traveling in his motor coach and would spend the winter months living in it, in Florida. One of his most favorite things to do was spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Russell W. Dryer will be held at the Hampton-Kurtz Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 beginning at 1:00 pm with Pastor Patti Beckman officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Hillsdale. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Hillsdale County.
