Ruth Caroline (Weber) Green Obituary
RUTH CAROLINE GREEN, age 80 years, of Hudson, Michigan, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio.

She was born on April 17, 1933, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of George A. and Bird Millie (Barber) Weber. She lived her early life in the Toledo and graduated from Libby High School. Ruth graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio.

She married Lyle Walter Green on March 13, 1958, at Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2013.

She was a member of Christ The Redeemer Lutheran Church in Adrian. Ruth had a long nursing career working at several local hospitals including, Flower, Addison, Bixby and Veterans in Ann Arbor and continuing her education at Adrian College earning a Bachelor's of Science and a Master's Degree. She worked at Hillsdale Hospital as Director of Nursing, then retired as a visiting nurse in the home health care field.

Ruth enjoyed baking, cooking, bird watching and being with her grandchildren.

Surviving Ruth are her sons, Douglas Green of Hudson and Scott (Angela) Green of Lambertville; 3 grandchildren, Michael (Carissa), Emily, and Amanda Green; 2 great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jayda; her sister, Virginia Schad of Maumee, Ohio, sister-in-law, Bernice Bowers of Hudson, special niece, Suzanne Schad of Maumee and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Betty Ziler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November14, 2013, in the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Richard C. Renter officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio. The visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to thank Dr. Johnathon Ross for his years of care and compassion and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their excellent care.
