Sheila C. Grimm Obituary
BROOMFIELD, Colorado - Sheila Carol Grimm, 72, died Aug. 17, 2015 with her devoted family by her side in Broomfield, Colorado.
Sheila was born Nov. 28, 1942 to Maxine and Doyle Grimm in Battle Creek, Michigan. She attended school at the Ann J Kellogg School and later lived at Hill House in Battle Creek. In 1992, she moved to Colorado to be closer to her sister, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Sheila was such an inspiration and a blessing to her family and friends maintaining such a positive attitude and a marvelous "giggle" through her physical and developmental challenges. Sheila was very active in her nursing home community and was known as a celebrity as those who knew her loved her. She always had a smile on her a face and loved to tell and hear jokes. Sheila was never happier than when she was playing UNO and was a champion UNO player. She will be forever missed.
Sheila is survived by her mother, Maxine Grimm; her sister, Sandy Gilmer; her brother-in-law, Jim Gilmer; her nieces, Terra Cook and Tawnya Gilmer; her nephews, Matt Gilmer and Aaron Cook; and her great-niece-and-nephews, Zac Cook, Savannah Gilmer, Noah Cook and James Gilmer.
Memorial Services will be held at the Frontier United Methodist Church at 9948 Short St., Frontier, Michigan on Wednesday September 16 at 1 p.m. Rev. Douglas Nettleton of the Pennfield Presbyterian Church where Sheila was a member from 1961 until she moved to Denver in 1999 will officiate. A meal will be served afterward at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Imagine" at 1400 Dixon Ave., Lafayette, CO 80026/303 665-7789, or ImagineColorado.org. Sheila and many others with developmental and physical challenges have received valuable support services through this nonprofit organization.
