Sherrie Lynne (Hinkle) Iles Obituary

ALLEN - Sherrie Lynne (Hinkle) Iles, 58, of Allen, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born March 22, 1958 in Hillsdale to Olin and Wilhelmina (Werner) Hinkle. Sherrie graduated from Litchfield High School in 1976, was a congregant of the First Baptist Church of Litchfield, and was the owner of the family business, The Olin Hinkle Agency.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Randy Iles, mother Wilhelmina (Werner) Hinkle of Hillsdale, mother-in-law Evelyn (Warner) Iles of Jackson, son Steven Iles of Litchfield, brother Greg (Jeri) Hinkle of Grand Rapids, sister Annette Hinkle of Baltimore, and sister-in-law Rhonda (Iles) Sauber of Jackson. She is preceded in death by father Olin Hinkle and father-in-law LeRoy Iles.

Sherrie was an avid Tigers and Red Wings fan, loved her pets, enjoyed reading, knitting, genealogy and trips to the Upper Peninsula. She was a NRA benefactor life member, volunteer for the Southern Michigan Friends of the NRA, rabbit leader for the Litchfield 4 Clover 4-H Club, and was integral to the planning of the annual Memorial Day cemetery services in Litchfield.

Visitation is scheduled Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel, Litchfield. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church, Litchfield, with Pastor Brent Stille officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Litchfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Litchfield First Baptist Church or the Olin and Wilhelmina Hinkle Family Scholarship Fund.
