Stanley Lee Anderson Obituary
Stanley Lee Anderson age 80, of North Adams, Michigan area passed away on December 15, 2017 at the Community Health Center of Branch County. He was born on November 27, 1937 near Sand Creek, Michigan to Harold and Shirley (Goodremont) Anderson and attended Sand Creek and Morenci schools. On June 6, 1964 he married Marilyn (Bernath) Anderson, and has lived near North Adams for over 44 years.
He was an artificial dairy inseminator in Lenawee County for several years and retired from D.C.A. Foods in Hillsdale after 25 years. He was a member of Center Adams Antique Tractor Club and attended Liberty Bible Church. His interests include hobby farming, riding horses, camping, country music and dancing. He also served in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Randy (Margaret Bump) Anderson of North Adams, Mark (Peggy) Anderson of Gibsonburg, Ohio, Tim (Helen) Anderson of Jerome, Michigan; daughter, Amy (Steve) Hurley of Hillsdale, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Adam) Hegedus, Robby (Jessica) Anderson, Darrin (Linda) Hurley, Katie (Nate Gifford) Alley, Logan Anderson, Hayden Anderson and Abby Anderson; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Pat Reno of Blissfield, Beverly Dunbar of Jonesville and Mary Lou Skates of Wauseon, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; one daughter, Kathy in infancy; and one sister, Janis Schmidt-Vanderpool.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Stanley Lee Anderson will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 beginning with Dr. Samuel E. Wickard officiating. Interment will follow at the Northlawn Cemetery in North Adams. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
