Tammy Rae (Harmon) Price Obituary
Tammy Rae Price, 55, of Waldron, died peacefully Sunday morning, February 19, 2017, at the Hospice of Lenawee Home in Adrian, following a long battle with brain cancer. She was born January 4, 1962, in Hudson, to Ronald and Rose (Pollick) Harmon. On August 14, 1982, she married the love of her life, Melvin Price, at the Waldron Wesleyan Church.

Tammy, a 1980 graduate of Waldron Area Schools, obtained her teaching degree in 1984 from Hillsdale College, and later earned a Master's Degree from Spring Arbor University in 2004. She returned to her alma mater of Waldron in 1998, where she had since been employed as a high school teacher.

Tammy was involved in the book club at the Waldron District Library and was a member of the Waldron Wesleyan Church. In her spare time, she assisted her students in applying to colleges, proofed papers for former students, attended Waldron Spartan sporting events, enjoyed theatre, and cheered on her beloved Detroit Tigers and Lions, and Michigan Wolverines. She enjoyed vacations to historical sites across the country, and her favorite place to visit was the family cabin up north. Most of all, Tammy cherished memories made with her family, whom she adored.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 34 years, Melvin, are her parents of Waldron; son, Matthew Price (and Janelle Fether) of Kalamazoo, MI; daughter, Mackenzie Price (and Caleb Sundblad) of Harbor Beach, MI; and her siblings, Sandy (Kevin) Brooks of Onsted, Holly (Jim) Somsel of Tecumseh, and John (Heather) Harmon of Hillsdale; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don (Ruth) Price of Waldron.

A funeral service for Tammy will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Waldron Area Schools multi-purpose room with Pastor Tom Brodbeck officiating. Burial will follow in the Waldron Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be given in honor of Tammy to The Price Family Fund at the Huron County Community Foundation. Friends can share memories and words of comfort with the family online at www.eaglefuneralhomes.com.
