CROSSVILLE - Dr. Thomas George Noll, DO age 77 of Crossville, formerly of Hillsdale Michigan passed away April 29, 2016. He was born November 7, 1938 in Garden City Kansas to the late Dr. Carlton Matthias and Mary Francis Noll. He graduated from Evergreen High School in Colorado in 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman from 1956 - 1959 and then attended Northern Arizona University. After graduation in 1964 he attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine graduating in 1968. After completing his residency training at Riverside Hospital in Trenton Michigan he set up his private practice in Hillsdale Michigan. Dr. Noll was board certified in family medicine, geriatrics, and medical acupuncture. He was a Fellow and Certified Diplomat of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. He won numerous awards, yet had little concern for status. He was active in the community and served as Exalted Ruler in Elks Club from 1989 - 1990. He was on staff at Hillsdale Community Hospital from 1969 – 2001, and served as Chief of Staff from 1980 - 1982. He was Medical Director of Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility from 1989 - 2000 and was Medical Examiner for Hillsdale County from 1989 - 2001. He was also Medical Director of Myrtle House Drug & Alcohol Detox Center. He was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Michigan State University and Lincoln Memorial University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate Tennessee.

Dr. Noll retired from clinical practice in 2001 and moved to Crossville Tennessee and began an Osteopathic Manipulation & Acupuncture clinic. "Dr. Tom" as he was called by his colleagues, students and patients, many of whom became friends, was known as a compassionate, generous, and caring physician. He made a difference in the lives of many. His greatest passion was helping others. He was a constant encourager and his wish for everyone was that they would find the same unconditional love which he discovered during the last years of his life's journey.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife Katherine Dunaway Noll, son Christopher & wife Taryn Noll of LaGrange Kentucky, daughters Lisa & husband Al Maxwell of Caramel Indiana, Angelina & husband Damion Arthur of Crossville Tennessee; sister Kay Ferry of Shipshewana Indiana, brother Richard & wife Lin Noll of Hillsdale Michigan; seven grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. His family is thankful for the loving care of Dr. Pierre Berry and the staff at Wyndridge Health & Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Church B53 on Saturday May 7 at 11 a.m., Pastor Harold Cox officiating.
