Viola Ruth Sanders Obituary

READING - Viola Ruth Sanders, 84, of Camden, passed away January 31, 2016, at Allegiance Health in Jackson. Born September 21, 1931, in Ransom Township, she was the daughter of Cloyd and Freida (Barrington) Dunlap. She was a 1950 graduate of Camden-Frontier High School and drove a school bus there for 28 years until her retirement. Viola was a member of the MARSP and a 1967 charter member of the Baw Beese Chief Camping Club. She attended Lakeview United Brethren Church and enjoyed gardening, canning, and traveling.

On January 4, 1951, she married Charles F. Sanders and he preceded her in death in 2011. Survivors include three daughters, Charla (Tom) Van Dyke of Montgomery, Cheryl (K.C.) Livensparger of Hillsdale, and Cherri (Ed) Buell of Reading; two sisters, Shirley (Dick) Anspaugh of Pittsford and Eunice (Harry) Guy of Camden; one brother, Harvey Dunlap of Camden; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and one grandson, Mark VanDkye.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading, with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Frontier Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Lakeview United Brethren Church or the Reading Emergency Unit.
