Walter David Adams Obituary

GLENDALE - Walter David Adams age 92 of Glendale, Arizona passed away at his home surrounded by his family on March 1, 2016. He was born May 22, 1923 in Pittsford, Michigan to the late Clyde Perry Adams and Nancy Lambright. Walter married Mary Tiede in Blissfield, Michigan on September 21, 1946. They shared 60 years of marriage before her death in 2005.

Walter served in the Navy, was a 32nd degree Mason, and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He loved building homes in many places. He was a Hillsdale Building inspector. He also worked for the New York Central Railroad for 34 years.

He loved to fish on Fife Lake and Lake Pleasant. He also loved to ride the tractor. He was a great cribbage player. Spending time with family was very important to him.

Walter is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Rosemary Fierabend and Kenneth Fierabend of Glendale, Arizona, Judith Alcock and Howard Dean Alcock of Adrian, Michigan, Barbara Wasnich and Lynn Wasnich of Osseo, Michigan. He had eight grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters Bonnie McCosh and her husband Jim of Hillsdale, Michigan and Doris Dargon of Lansing, Michigan. He has many nieces and nephews. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, two brothers, two sisters and one son David Walter Adams.

A graveside service will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery later this summer.
