MORENCI - Ward Clark Joughin, 82, of Morenci, died Wednesday evening, February 17, 2016, at Drews Place of Hillsdale. He was born December 23, 1933, in Medina Township, to the late Estill Reed and Helen M. (Shafer) Joughin. He married Cleantha M. Rehklau on January 28, 1961, in Riga, MI, and she survives.

Ward is fondly remembered as a man with an enjoyable sense of humor who was always active and was proud of his family, especially his grandchildren. He built a pond on his property for the family to enjoy together. He enjoyed fishing, and took many fishing trips to Canada. Ward and Cle wintered in Florida for over 25 years. Ward enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, western square dancing, 4H activities, and woodworking. Ward received his pilot's license in 1972, and belonged to the Flying Farmers club. He also learned in later years to ride the unicycle in his 60's and play the saxophone, and entertained at nearby nursing homes.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 55 years, Cle, are three sons, Bill Joughin of Morenci, Dan (Carrie) Joughin of Morenci, and Tom (Darcie) Joughin of Niles, MI; eleven grandchildren, Justin, Katelyn, Dana, Taylor, Tessa, Raven, Jake, Clark, Kayla, Sierah, and Carson; three great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Drew, and Maddox; and daughter-in-law, Shana Joughin of Fayette, OH.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Ward Joughin.
