Wilma A. (Burnell) Holloway Obituary
Wilma A. Holloway, 87, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at ProMedica Bixby Hospital in Adrian. She was born in Jackson, MI on June 18, 1929, the daughter of the late David and Emma (Rehberg) Burnell. She married George W. Holloway on September 26, 1950, in Angola, IN, and he survives.
Wilma was a 1947 graduate of Adrian High School and was employed six years at Kroger Egg Exchange in Adrian, MI, ten years at Gamble's in Hudson, five years at Hudson Food Center and ten years at 127 Party Store in Hudson. She was an active member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Hudson.
Surviving in addition to her husband of nearly 67 years, George, are a daughter, JoAnn (Watson) Clark of Hudson; two sons, Michael Holloway and Chris (Linda) Holloway all of Hudson; two grandchildren, Christopher (Sasha) Holloway and Dakota (Dustin) Bixler; six great-grandchildren Trenton, Amillilyn, and Jaelee Bixler, Christopher P. Holloway, Jacob and Merceydes Holloway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Burnell; a grandson, David Clark; and a step-granddaughter, Candace Lewis.
A funeral service for Wilma will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Hudson with Pastor Alan Muck officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will take place for one hour preceding the service at the church, beginning at 10 a.m.
Arrangements are being handled by the Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson.
