ZANE S. FISK 1923-2015

HILLSDALE - Zane S. Fisk, 92, of Hillsdale, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 10, 1923 in Addison to Herman and Winifred (Larrabee) Fisk. Zane married Donna Sanford on March 30, 1944 and she survives.

Zane worked as a general contractor and home builder for many years and later retired from Allied Products Plant #4. He graduated from Hillsdale High School and served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Together with his wife, Zane enjoyed square dancing with the Hills and Dales, camping with the Baw Beese Chiefs and wintering in Florida and Arizona. Zane was an avid harmonica player who founded the harmonica club at Perennial Park Senior Center. He also enjoyed building and flying ultralight airplanes.

In addition to his wife of 71 years, Donna, Zane is survived by three daughters, Sharon Fisk and Greg Peach of Englewood, Florida, Linda (Craig) Potter and Susan (George) Green, both of Hillsdale; son, Bruce (Aggie) Fisk of Commerce Township; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Zane was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services for Zane Fisk will be Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. at VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Dr. Samuel Wickard officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsdale. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
