Morris Ray Jones, 65, passed away July 13, 2013, in his sleep while doing one of the things he loved, enjoying the outdoors. He was born March 3, 1948, in Logan, Utah, to Lamar W. and Margaret Wells Jones.
Morris graduated from Logan High School and served in the U.S. Navy
for four years. He married Lynnette Griffin on Jan. 3, 1975, in Newton. He worked at R.R. Donnelley for 40 years and was still employed at the time of his death.
He loved family and the outdoors. His greatest joys were spending time camping, hunting and fishing with family, his brother Randy, and friends.
Morris is survived by his wife, Lynnette; his three children, Zachary (Megan) Jones, Zane Jones, and Aleene (Chris) Poulsen; two grandsons, brother Terry (Terrie Lyn) Jones, sister Judy (Russ) Frances, and Randy Jones; and mother, Margaret Jones Bingham.
Funeral services are scheduled for noon Thursday, July 18, at the Young Ward LDS Chapel, 2200 S. 2394 West in Young Ward. A viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., prior to services on Thursday at the church.
