Alvin Haslam
Wellsville - Alvin Stuart Haslam died April 17, 2013, in Wellsville, Utah, at the age of 92.
He was born February 19, 1921, in Wellsville, Utah, the son of Alvin Maughan Haslam and Eva Scoffield Stuart. He married Rhoda Edith Tracy Mcbride on July 29, 1939. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on July 26, 1951. Edith passed away Oct. 14, 1997.
Dad grew up and attended school in Wellsville, Utah. He helped his dad on the farm and worked on the Maron McBride Ranch. He has been a farmer all his life and also worked construction and at Whites Pipe Co. in Ogden, Utah. Dad was a very hard worker and was always helping neighbors. He loved his family and was a very fussy, neat person, as you could tell by his farm and home.
He enjoyed dancing, riding horses going fishing, deer hunting and going to breakfast Sunday morning.
He is survived by two brothers, Seth Haslam and Dean Haslam; and children ReNae Tracy (Patrick) Miller, Shirlene Tracy (Lee) Bailey, Jerry (DeAnn) Haslam and Micheal (Debbie) Haslam. He has 14 grandchildren and lots of great-grandchildren.
A family viewing will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Allen-Hall Morturary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan, Utah. Graveside services will be at noon at the Wellsville Cemetery.
