CLEVELAND, Idaho - Edwin Wiley Covert, 68, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, from complications of sepsis. He was born Sept. 10, 1944, in Cleveland, Idaho, the son of Calvin and Marintha Ann Skinner Covert.

He was an elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to watch old John Wayne movies. He enjoyed farming and trapping with his dad in his younger years.
He is survived by three brothers and one sister, Theo (Sonjia) Covert of Preston, Idaho, MarLane Nance of Cleveland, Idaho, Gaylin (Lynda) Covert of Cleveland, Idaho, and Mark (Debra) Covert of Grace, Idaho; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Orr, and brother-in-law Gus Nance.
A viewing will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston, Idaho. Graveside dedication will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland, Idaho.
