Elaine Riggs Homer passed away Thursday, April 11, in Las Vegas, Nev., where she lived with her son for the past 10 years.

She was born May 5, 1922, in Benson, Utah, the only child of Albert Bird Riggs and Olga Lundberg Riggs. She married Clarence "Kirk" Homer on Feb. 9, 1944, in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was a graduated registered nurse and worked in that profession at the William S. Budge Memorial Hospital in Logan, the Smithfield Clinic and in public health until she retired in 1985. She and her husband Kirk spent several years serving as temple workers in the baptistery in the Logan Temple.
She is survived by her two children, Paul Homer of Las Vegas, Nev., and Julie Homer Jones of Bountiful, Utah; six grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kirk, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at noon Friday, April 19, in the Logan City Cemetery.
