Khalil Hansen Obituary
Khalil "K.V." was born April 22, 1919, to Sylvester Orlando and Mary Eliza Groth Rasmussen Hansen in Malad City, Idaho. He was their fourth child.
Preceding him in death were his siblings, Verda Borromeo, Lilo George, Boyd S. and Ace V. (surviving spouse, Lois) Hansen. He is survived by his brother, Dee R. (Jerry) Hansen of Ogden, Utah; and sisters, Drue (Elmer, deceased) Aldous of Ogden, Utah, Mary (Calvin) Mansfield of Salt Lake City, and LaLana (Arthur B., deceased) Draper of Hooper, Utah. Also surviving him is his wife, Vicky Hansen of Brigham City, Utah, and St. George, Utah; along with his children, Sheldon K. (Carol) of Mesa, Ariz., Byron W. (Lynda) of Brigham City, Utah, Linda (William O.) Perry III of Salt Lake City, Kim S. (Pat) of Burley, Idaho, and Janet (Steve) Goldsmith of Salt Lake City. He is survived by 26 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.
K.V. was married to Faye Ward of Malad, Idaho, on Jan. 27, 1939, she being the mother of all of his children. She passed away June 11, 2002, in Brigham City. He married Vicky Nedrow on Jan. 6, 2003.
He was a General Motors dealer for over 60 years in Utah and Idaho and owned a cattle ranch in Chesterfield, Idaho. He was instrumental in establishing and directing the Tri-State Bank & Trust of Montpelier, Idaho, eventually serving as bank chairman. He served his church as bishop, stake president and numerous other callings in Malad and Montpelier, Idaho, and Brigham City, Utah.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at the Brigham City 6th Ward chapel, 105 Fishburn Dr., Brigham City.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 East, Brigham City, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery with military honors accorded.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the LDS Perpetual Education fund.

When our son married one of KV Hansen's grand daughters, we became acquainted with the Hansen Family, hearing stories of the Chesterfield Ranch and the Brigham City GM Dealership. We have great admiration for the Hansen Family and much appreciation for the legacy left by KV Hansen. Our heart-felt prayers and sympathy go out to the family as they mourn KV's passing, yet express our happiness in celebration of the good things brought to pass by this man and his offspring.
