Ross A. Hyden passed away from cancer at the age of 61 on Dec. 8, 2012, at his Home in Providence, Utah, surrounded by family.
Ross was born the third of six children to Jacqueline Allen and Cecil Juan Hyden on Oct. 22, 1951, in Logan, Utah. He attended high school at Sky View, joined the U.S. Army at 17 and served faithfully for two years.
Ross had a love for wood and the outdoors. He was a professional guide for many avid hunters in the Jackson Hole area. He loved building beautiful log homes in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and spent the last six years working as a maintenance man.
Ross is survived by his loving wife Marilyn Kaye Goodnight Hyden; children Alice Ann Landsaw Neilson, Stacy Cannon, William Thomas (Jennifer) Landsaw, Leatha Sheri Cline and Roslynn Kay (Christopher) Porter; 15 grandchildren; mother Jacqueline Hyden; brothers Lex (Beverly) Hyden and Seth(Terry) Hyden; sister Maren (Randall) Harris; and sister-in-law Shauna Hyden. He was preceded in death by his father Cecil, brothers Sydney and Kyle and special granddaughter Kiersten Faith Cline.
The Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan. The Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at the LDS Cobblestone Ward, 420 W. 100 North in Providence, with a viewing prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Smithfield Cemetery.
