Cade Wyatt

1986 - 2012

MANTUA - Cade Fenton Wyatt, 26, of Mantua, Utah, finished his difficult and courageous fight with the big "C" on Aug. 26, 2012. Cade's broad shoulders carried whatever burdens fell upon them. He had a colorful personality and was stubborn yet fiercely loyal. Even in the darkest moments, he expressed more concern for others than for himself, and he never lost his personality, sense of humor, or positive attitude. Through it all, Cade's words were, "Keep your head up."
Although he remembered little of being born in Brigham City on May 21, 1986, he would never forget marrying his high school sweetheart, Alyson Hull, on May 22, 2008, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, or gladly cutting a duck hunt short last December so he could welcome his own son into the world. He could not have been more excited to become a father.
This Eagle Scout loved all things outdoors, from trips to Island Park to hunting to attending ballgames of his nieces and nephews. After graduating from Box Elder High School in 2004, Cade discovered that he loved the people of the Peru Lima South Mission but disliked the taste of cat and guinea pig. He is now doing missionary work yet again in God's kingdom and no doubt loving it.
Cade never claimed to be perfect, but he did bag an elk during finals at Utah State University (still graduated) and a few whitetail while at University of Nebraska-Lincoln law school. Plus, last fall he harvested limits of North Dakota pheasant all week long - without trespassing, unlike someone in the group. While Cade would always rather be hunting than working (which he did, for IMS, in the field of medical device sales), he would rather be spending time with his loved ones most of all.
In addition to his sweet, beloved Alyson, Cade reluctantly leaves behind the light of his life, his son Luke; parents Michael and Teresa Wyatt; five siblings, Jacie Steck (Thor), Chad Wyatt (Sarah Nay), Mindy Griffin (Jason), Heidi Steck (Bryan) and Mckenzie Terry (Adam); grandparents J and Barbara Fenton, Ralph and Loretta Wyatt and Eugene "The Machine" and Colleen Kennington; in-laws John and Kaylene Hull, Heather Hettinger (Kevin) and Kasi Hull; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and bird dog *&%$@! (aka "Diesel").
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at the Mantua chapel, 237 S. Willard Peak Road in Mantua. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 East in Brigham City, and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Church. Interment will be in the Mantua Cemetery.
Cade would thank the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Integrity Home Health & Hospice, and the countless friends and neighbors who provided so much love and support during his battle. Regarding your generosity and goodness, Cade - who always called it like he saw it - would say, "I heard that about you."
In lieu of flowers, donations for Cade's son Luke can be made to an account under "Cade Wyatt Charitable Donations" at America First Credit Union. And Cade's memory can be honored by taking a kid camping, fishing or hunting - soon and often. And by taking a camera along, too.
