Local rock star, husband, father and friend Blake Willis Sharp passed away June 28, 2013. Born Aug. 2, 1956, to Willis and Meda Sharp in Lewiston, Utah, Blake was 56 years old. Blake is survived by his wife, Reina, and children Mick, Marshall, Payton, and Alissa, along with six grandchildren and five siblings.
Blake spent the majority of his life in northern Utah. One of his favorite things to do was watch the sunsets in Richmond while playing guitar on his front porch. If there was anything that would rival his love for his family, it was his love for music. He loved everything to do with music - playing, listening, writing, it didn't matter - so long as the harmony was good. His favorite musicians included Styx, Rod Stewart, Kansas, REO Speedwagon, among others. He was a huge fan of the Utah Jazz, the Colorado Rockies, the Calgary Flames and most importantly, the Denver Broncos.
Blake was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, which is a big deal, because he didn't have much. Humility, tender-heartedness, and benevolence are just a few of the traits that Blake exemplified in his daily life. He dedicated his daily endeavors to nurturing those around him and creating a legacy of devotion to his family and friends.
