Judy Merritt, 32, a Salt Lake City and Logan resident, died Saturday July 6, 2013, in the McKay-Dee Medical center in Ogden, Utah of metastatic breast cancer.

Funeral services were held July 11 at the Allen Mortuary, with burial in the Logan Cemetery.
Judy was born in Star Valley, Wyo. on Feb. 26, 1981, to Clyde and Larene Merritt. She attended Holdaway, Adams and Ellis elementaries, MLMS and graduated from Logan High school in June 2000. She was the seventh of 10 children. After graduating she moved to Salt Lake City, where she lived and worked.
Judy was a kind and loving person, loved by her many friends and family. She loved the outdoors and being active. She enjoyed cooking and would spend hours creating special dishes. She loved to dance and sing, and was a member of her LDS Ward choir.
Judy was able to fulfill her lifelong dream in 2011 when she graduated from Vista University in Dental Assisting.
She struggled many years with her cancer. In September of 2012 she returned to her parent's home in Logan to be close to her family.
Judy is survived by her parents, Clyde and Larene Merritt, a son, Jacob; siblings Ralph Merritt, Carol Earley, John Merritt, Ben Merritt, Becky Kowallis, Lisa Clawson, Sam Merritt, Ray Merritt, and Steve Merritt.
The family expresses their thanks for kindnesses, flowers and financial contributions.
