Harshberger, Mary - Baldwin  
Mary Harshberger, 87 Irons MI (Formerly from Grand Rapids) Sunrise: March 26, 1929 in Graafschap Sunset: July 13, 2016, at home in Irons, where surrounded by family, flights of angels sang her to her rest. Preceding her in the journey to eternity were her beloved husband of 59 years, Kenneth; her parents, Mannes and Reka Knoll of Graafschap; sister, Grace Harthorn of Holland; Brothers, Gradus and James of Graafschap, Albertus of Phoenix, AZ, Harold of Quartzite, AZ; and Sister in Law and best friend, Eleanor Watson. She is survived by her sister Francis (Henry) Kruithoff of Holland; her children Terrie (Mark) Richard of Irons, Raynell (Roger) Blanton of Jenison, Ginger (Gus) Motzer of Luther, Garth Harshberger of Irons; Seven Grandchildren, Staci (David) Lea , Heather (Matthew) Dykstra , Jason Blanton, Lindsay Anderson, Rachel Motzer, Neil Motzer, Molly (Adam) Tower; Nine Great Grandchildren, Madison Blanton, Conner, Chloe, and Cason Anderson, Simon and Gabriel Lea, Sydney and Samuel Dykstra, Baylee and Lia Tower; as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was a familiar face in the Irons area. She owned and operated the Haggle Huts with her husband for many years and was a waitress at many of the local restaurants. Prior to moving to the Irons area, Mary worked alongside her husband and they operated many restaurants in the Grand Rapids/Rockford area including, The KennMar House, the Homestead Restaurant and the Dog & Suds. Mary was a charter member of Faith Fellowship Church in Irons, MI. She had a strong faith and Christian testimony and was ready to meet her lord. Love, dignity, hard work, joy and integrity defined her essence. Her selfless, generous heart is what endeared her to all those who loved her. She left a beautiful legacy to her children and grand children of how to live life. They will all truly miss the wonderful family gatherings she hosted at her "own little piece of paradise on earth " at Big Bass Lake, surrounded by her beautiful flowers that she nurtured and enjoyed so much. Services to honor Mary's faith and life will be held at Faith Fellowship in Irons, MI with Pastor Duane Costello officiating, on July 25 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour before services. No graveside services will be held. Luncheon will be held at Faith Fellowship Church immediately following services.
