Arnold Junior Kragt(1931 - 2013)

Arnold Junior Kragt, age 82, of Hamilton, died Thursday, November 14, 2013, at his home. He was born on June 23, 1931, in Byron Center, the son of Arthur and Mary (Nederveld) Kragt. Arnold was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He worked for Hamilton Farm Bureau for 22 years, and at Hamilton Block for 10 years. Arnold was a life member of the Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church. Arnold and his wife grew produce and sold it in Holland at the farmers market. What they didn't sell was given to family and friends. Arnold enjoyed hunting, fishing, and admiring God's Creation. Growing things was his passion.

Arnold is survived by his children, Calvin (Pat) Kragt, Gale (Dawn) Kragt, Curtis (Elda) Kragt, Sue (Jeff) DeKorte; his 10 grandchildren; and his two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Fern and Nora.

Friends may meet with the family on Monday, November 18, 2013, at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church, Hamilton, for the visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral will also be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. Pastor Mark Inman will be officiating. Interment will be at Salem Township Cemetery.
