Truman R. Lee Obituary
Truman R. Lee of Holland passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Friday, July 25, 2014, at Holland Hospital.

Truman was born on February 26, 1926, in Sacramento, Kentucky. He was the youngest of 10 siblings. He passed up a basketball scholarship to stay home on the farm but continued to play with amateur groups, along with his love for softball, golf, bowling, boating, fishing, hunting and horseshoes. He was competitive and good at all.

Truman was an industrial supervisor on auto details in metal finishing upon arriving in Michigan from Kentucky in 1950. He was a World War II veteran, and a life member of the VFW, DAV, Elks Club and American Legion. He was a very humble and appreciative man with a heart of gold and a disposition like no other.

Truman was preceded in death by his son, David Lee (2000); his wife, Artie Eaton Lee (2010); and is survived by his daughters, Beverly Lee Rigterink and Barbara Lee Teerman (Jeff); two grandsons, Jason Rigterink, Austin Teerman; two granddaughters, Leda Rigterink Vander Laan and Jordan Teerman; two great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; many, many nieces and nephews; and all who will miss him dearly!

Visitation to celebrate the life of Truman R. Lee will be at Langeland-Sterenberg Funderal Home on Thursday, July 31, from 2–3:30 p.m. with a memorial service following at 4 p.m. You may also send donations to the in lieu of flowers.
