Charles Jay "Chuck" Broersma Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Jay Broersma, 63, of Holland, passed away on April 29, 2014, at Hospice House of Holland.

Chuck was born December 1, 1950, in Grand Haven to Robert Sr. and Jean (Damminga) Broersma. He graduated from Western Michigan Christian High School in 1968, and was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy from 1969-1973. He was currently employed at JMS Inc. Chuck was attending Christ Memorial Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Thomas Broersma; and his brother-in-law, S. John Van Haste.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren, Daniel Jay and Linda Broersma (Hannah, Zack), Marcus Allen and Christen Broersma (Becky, Caroline), Benjamin Kile Broersma; his siblings, Robert Jr. and Joan Broersma, Margaret "Peg" and Bruce Van Dyke, Barbara Van Haste, Mary and Bruce Okkema.

A service to honor the faith and lPAID

ife of Charles Broersma will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, in the Chapel at Christ Memorial Church (please use Entrances D and E), 595 Graafschap Road, Holland. The Rev. Bill Boersma will officiate. Chuck's body was donated to U of M Medical School and interment in Lake Forest Cemetery will happen at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven. Arrangements are by Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland. www.langelandsterenberg.com
