Julius Van Oss Obituary
Juke served in the United States Army during WWII.
He attended the Community Church of Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet in 1997; son, Bryan Hooker; son-in-law, Jim Cullom in 2012; great grandson, Greyson Sauceda in 2015; and a brother, Alvin Van Oss.
Surviving is his wife, Norma of 16 years; children, Blair Van Oss, Julie Cullom, and Jim and Rhonda Van Oss; step-children, Jean and Dave Richters, Marc and Beth Clevenger, and Todd Clevenger; 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 1 step great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Barbara Van Oss; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the Community Church of Douglas, 6874 Wiley Road, with the Rev. Robert Terpstra officiating.
Visitation will follow the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Barnabas Charities; 19 Old Mill Drive #5, Holland, MI 49423 or Holland Rescue Mission; 356 Fairbanks Avenue, Holland, MI 49423.

I will miss his nonjudgmental kindness to all his callers the most. The tone of his voice and his comments showed he respected everyones' viewpoint. It never mattered if he didn't happen to share the caller's belief.
