William Doucette Obituary
William G. Doucette, age 92 (Bill) of Douglas, Michigan passed away on January 16, 2014. He was born and raised in Hubble, Michigan.

Bill was a veteran of WWII and served proudly in the Army Air Force. Just this last October, he received his last medal, the Philippines Liberation medal.

He raised his family with his wife Bonnie (deceased) in Hinsdale, Illinois and became the President of P. Nacy Automatic Fire Protection and American Automatic. During this time, he owned 3 homes on the lakeshore, including the historic Weed Estate.

Retiring to Douglas, he converted a barn to his current residence with his most trusted friend and brother, Tom Doucette.

Bill is survived by his three children, Bill, Mary Ellen, Mark, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. A proud man to the end, he lived independently with the help of Margeret Balmer, Maria Droz, Ann Drozdowicz and Anthony Doucette.

To the "last man on the island" we love you dad and Uncle Bill.

A short service was held at the Hospice of Holland on the day of his death by Father James from St. Franscis Desalles Church in Holland.

A follow up mass will be said in honor of Bill on March 4, 2014 at St. Peter's Church in Douglas, MI.
