Raymond Rosendahl Obituary
Raymond Rosendahl, of Holland, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the age of 85.

He was born on January 29, 1929, in Holland, to the late Peter and Clara Rosendahl.

Raymond married Jeanette Pitcher on September 23, 1950. He is survived by Jeanette and their children, Dean and Arlene Rosendahl of Holland, Denise and Jerry Brouwer of Holland, Darlene and Carlyle Cain of Lilburn, GA., Keith and Sue Rosendahl of Holland; 14 grandchildren, Ryan Rosendahl, Corey Rosendahl and fiancée, Samantha Wedding, Lorie and Dan Tippett, Lee and Amanda Brouwer, Schyler Cain and fiancé, Josh Lee, Paul Cain, Andrew Perry, Holly St. John, and Jenni and James Albright; six great-grandchildren, Dana and Madelynn Tippett, Emilie, Ashlee and Carter Brouwer, and Endyra St. John. He was preceded in death by his brother, William J. Wood.

Ray was a Korean War Army Veteran and was awarded a Purple Heart for his contributions overseas. Back home, he was a valued member and Past Master of the Dutcher Masonic Lodge No. 193. He owned and operated a Texaco Station in Holland and worked for Brooks Products until his retirement. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and a faithful friend to many.

Ray's family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Holland Hospital for the excellent care of their husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Your attention to his needs and the caring manner used was greatly appreciated during this difficult time. Special thanks to Rev. Toby Gruppen for his kind and supportive words as we traveled this road together.

Funeral services with military honors will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland with Rev. Toby Gruppen officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the . www.langelandsterenberg.com.
