Maurice Marcotte Obituary

MARCOTTE, MAURICE A., 62, of North Augusta, SC, formerly of Arnold, died December 12, 2011, at DD Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ft. Gordon, Georgia.

Mr. Marcotte retired from the United States Marine Corps in June 1987, after 20 years of service. At the time of his death, he was a civilian employee of the Department of Defense, where he worked for more than 24 years. He had resided in North Augusta, SC for the past six years.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Jeannette Marcotte, Millersville, MD; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Christa Marcotte, Annapolis, MD; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Steve Pogreba, Paw Paw, IL, Melissa and Tom Ward, San Tan Valley, AZ, and Renee and Chris Walker, Annapolis, MD; 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild; his mother, Doris Marcotte, Brookville, FL; brother, Michael Marcotte, Woonsocket, RI; and sister, Jeannette Barber, Spring Hill, FL.

A committal service and inurnment will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 11:30 AM at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Chapel, Crownsville.
