Daniel Bruce Obituary

Daniel Martin Ardin Bruce Sr., 67, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Galliano, died at 6:50 a.m., Friday, Nov. 23, 2012.
Burial was in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Plaisance Bruce; two sons, Daniel M. Bruce Jr. and wife, Brandy, and Paul A. Bruce; two daughters, Donna B. Cheramie and husband, Norah, and Paula A. Bruce and companion, Tim Cooper; eight grandchildren, Kailey Bruce, Kelsey Bruce, Norah John Cheramie, Nicky Cheramie, Ryder Robbins, Jace Bruce, Jacob Bruce and Reece Bruce; three brothers, Bobby, Douglas and Bryan Bruce; and five sisters, Geraldine "Tenny" Esponge, Janice Semmes, Peggy Borne, Carolyn Bourgeois and Sheena Delatte.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Bruce Sr. and Meona Bergeron Bruce; and four brothers, Larry, Carl Wayne and Lester "Joe" Bruce Jr.
He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed his family to the fullest. He was a commercial fisherman who worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He loved to hunt and fish.
He will be remembered by all as a man who knew no stranger and always put a smile on your face.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
