Lester Felix Breaux, 99, a native of Bourg and resident of Houma, died at 1:11 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014.
Visitation will be from noon until funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his spouse, Elizabeth Hall Breaux, of Houma; son, Richard Breaux and wife, Dorian Breaux, of Houma; sisters, Edrith Boudreaux, of Houma, Laura Lee Duet, of Houma, and Rita Malbrough, of New Orleans; and grandson, Garrett Breaux, of Baton Rouge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Leonise Scott Breaux; brothers, Reynold, Russell, and Bilmore Breaux; and sister, Mary Eve Bascle.
Lester was a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Navy who served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Military Officers Association of America and the American Legion.
