Elvin Pierre Dufrene, a native of Gheens and resident of Raceland, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
No services are planned at this time.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred "Millie" Dies Dufrene; sons, Terry Dufrene and wife, Lana, and Rickey Dufrene; daughter, Lena Vega and husband, Chad; brother, Danny Dufrene; sisters, Hazel Waguespack, Nell White and Hilda Dunn; four grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Camille Sr. and Irene Larouse Dufrene; and brothers, Harrington and David Dufrene.
He was retired from Monsanto and Hot-Shot Trucking.
"We love you and you will be sadly missed by your wife, children and friends."
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
