Tommy was ordained a deacon in the Catholic Church, Diocese of East Baton Rouge, on June 4, 2006. His life centered on loving and caring for his wife, children and grandchildren and service to the Lord. He strived to bring the love of Christ to everyone he knew, and that love has been returned to him a hundred fold by family, friends and even strangers in the weaning months of his life. He considered every aspect of his life - the joy and the sorrow, the comforts and the suffering as a gift from God to be embraced. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that all who knew him will forever cherish.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Joseph Carpenter House Hospice Foundation, 10615 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, La. 70809 or to St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church Social Services Ministry.

Cindy: My heart is just broken and I am so sorry we were gone during your time of grief. Tommy was a great man, always so compassionate about one of my great loves, LSU, but most of all,he was a great Christian. I know he now stands in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Charlie & I have been so blessed by his friendship and will always be thankful for that. We were truly blessed the day that Tiffany married Jade and we all became family. My heart just breaks for Jade, as well as all of you, and I was sorry to not be here, especially for Jade. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers and if there is anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to call me.

The Tapestry
Our life is like a tapestry
Weaved by God's loving hand
With threads of love and tenderness
To create it as He planned
Each year He intertwines more threads
And as the fabric grows
So do our virtues and our strengths
Which from the Weaver flows.
Over the years, the fabric wears,
The edges torn and tattered
But the threads of love will keep it strong
Those are the threads that mattered.
And when the Weaver feels at last
The tapestry's complete
With loving Hands, He folds it up
So gently and so neat.
He brings it up to heaven
Where it is lovingly displayed
This picture of another soul,
That the great Weaver made
Your loving wife, Cindy St. Pierre

I'm so sorry to hear of Tommy's passing. He and his wife always sat in front of my grandfather and I in church for 4:00 mass on Saturday and always greeted me with a handshake and a smile. He is in a better and pain free place now. Rest in peace.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family, friends and of course Jesus and the Holy Spirit, who will be with you for eternity!
