Becky Lorraine Doyle Lamey, 57, a native of Big Lake, Texas, and a resident of Raceland, died on Saturday Dec. 29, 2012.
Visitation will be from 4 until 9 p.m. Thursday at First United Pentecostal Church in Mathews. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral timeFriday at the church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Raceland.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Lamey, Jr.; mother, the Rev. Rebecca J. Doyle; father-in-law, Douglas Lamey Sr.; mother-in-law, Darlene Lamey; children, Thomas E. Hines, Jr. and wife, LaLonnie, Tammy L. Smith and husband, Damon, Robert N. Morgan Jr. and wife, Salina; step-daughter, Lorraine A. Balsamo and companion, Brian Goss; brother, Kenneth R. Doyle Jr. and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Tylor J. Hotard, Joshua J. Hotard, Levi G. Boudreaux, Sage M. Hines, Kyndal B. Smith, Safia M. Hines and Laveal A. Morgan; two nieces; two nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; 10 aunts; six uncles; and two sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her father, the Rev. Kenneth R. Doyle Sr.; grandfathers, Jack Prichard Sr. and Thomas Doyle; grandmothers, Betty Lucas and Hattie Doyle; mother-in-law, Sarah L. Lamey; uncle, Jack Pritchard Jr.; and aunt, Lorraine Lewis.
She was a wonderful, kind, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. She loved to sing and play music.
