Saia, Christopher - Lockport  
Christopher J. Saia, 46, a native and resident of Lockport, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday, May 25, at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the church. He is survived by his daughter, Lacey Saia; former wife, Dominica Saia; companion, Donna Toups; and mother, Janice Saia. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Saia; and brother, Craig Saia. Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

Songe, Barbara - Houma  
Barbara Ann Songe, 80, a native and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Monday, May 18, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1830 Prospect Blvd. in Houma. A memorial talk will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the hall. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bryan Songe; son, Keith Songe and wife, Toni; daughters, Monica Songe and Melissa Songe Robichaux; brother, Thomas Chatagnier Jr.; sister, Mary Lee Belanger; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Thomas Chatagnier Sr. and Hilda Chatagnier. Barbara was a faithful witness of Jehovah for 71 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her home and yard. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers and the staff and nurses from Journey Hospice. Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.

Spears, Geneva "Sadie" (Adams) - New Orleans  
Geneva "Sadie" Adams Spears, 92, was born May 6, 1923, and was called home to glory, Monday May 18, 2015. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at Free Mission Missionary Baptist Church at 1821 Egania Street in New Orleans. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery in New Orleans. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Spears; daughter of the late Davis and Carrie Summers George; mother of Alton Irvin Sr. (Doris), Antonia Jackson (Julius), Juliette Vicks (the late Bertrand), Algy Irvin Sr. (Mary), Carl "Steve" Irvin Sr. (Velez), Craig "Michael" Spears (Brenda), of Florida, and Christopher P. Spears. She also leaves to cherish her memories 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Stinson, Jackie (Broussard) - Gibson  
Jackie Ellen Broussard Stinson, was born Aug. 14, 1955, in Morgan City and passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015, in Gibson, after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday, May 22, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Schriever. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Gibson. She is survived by her husband, William Stinson Jr., of Gibson; son, William Christopher Stinson and fianceé, Anna Lovell, of Gibson, Melissa Ellen Reed and husband, Chad, of Gibson; parents, H.J. "Bruce" Broussard and Mary Ellen Melancon Broussard, of Morgan City; brothers, Barry Broussard and wife, Cathy, of Berwick, and Jerry Broussard and wife, Cindy, of Morgan City; grandchildren Alana, Logan, and Landon Reed, William "Little Chris" Stinson and Madison Lovell; step-grandchildren, Jamie, Helena, Cory Lovell and Kayla Maone and husband, Josh; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mark Anthony Melancon and Ester O'Donell and Clovis Broussard and Elva Touchet; and brother, Richard Dennis Broussard.
