Mitzi Markerson Aucoin, 47, a native of Franklin and resident of Houma, died at 10:54 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and from 10 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Ibert's Mortuary at 1007 W. Main St. in Franklin. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Assumption at 211 Iberia St. in Franklin, with burial in Franklin Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Blake Aucoin; son, Andrew John Aucoin; daughter, Alexis Elise Aucoin; parents, John Lewis Markerson Jr. and Joanne Martin Markerson; brothers, Chris M. Markerson Sr. and wife, Rachelle, and Brad M. Markerson and wife, Rachel; nieces and nephews, Joni M. Thomas, Caroline Markerson, Chris M. Markerson Jr., Matthew J. Markerson, Meagan E. Markerson, Hunter M. Markerson, and Lanie E. Markerson. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John L. Markerson Sr. and Charlie Mae Markerson; maternal grandparents, Medric Martin and Mildred Martin; brother, John L. Markerson III; and father-in-law, Andy A. Aucoin Jr. She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. The family wishes to thank Dr. Jon Olson, Dr. Russell Henry, Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer Center, and Haydel Memorial Hospice. Doris Lathrop Bouzigard, 96 a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Ivy Bouzigard Jr. and wife, Lorranie, and Brad Bouzigard and wife, Wendy; daughter, Juliette B. Louviere and husband, Gerald; brother, Morrison Lathrop; grandchildren, Kelly Bouzigard, Susan Guidry, Errol "Pete" Pitre Jr., Julie Pitre, Angela Pitre, Tim Pitre, Grant Louviere, Shelly Louviere, Bruks Bouzigard, Brandy B. Gunn, Megan Bouzigard, and Dean Bouzigard; great-grandchildren, Chord Bouzigard, Ian Bouzigard, Michael Guidry, Logan Guidry, Shannon R. Corey Noel Gautreaux, 2, passed away at 8:34 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales and from 10 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Monday at the church, with the Rev. Trey Nelson officiating. Burial will be in St. George Mausoleum and conclude with a gathering of family and friends at St. Jude the Apostle Church Parish Hall. Pallbearers will be Shawn Soileau, Jeremy Bergeron, Chip Gautreaux, Bryan P. Glenn, Trevor Gautreaux, Robbie Gautreaux, Robert Bridges, Greg Dufrene and Eric Spencer. Bernice Louviere Guidry, 86, a native of Gibson and resident of Houma, died Saturday, April 19, 2014. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Liturgy of the Word will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by her sons, Ray Guidry and wife, Cindy, Samson Guidry Jr. and wife, Tammy, and Craig Guidry and wife, Vickie; daughter, Janet Alston and husband, John; grandchildren, Kimberly Boudreaux, Lynsie Boudreaux, Marc Alston, Dennis Guidry, Jenna Tabrizi, Rebecca Guidry, Kaine Guidry, Tabitha Guidry, Sarah Guidry, Jake Guidry, Matthew Guidry, and Brittany Guidry; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Boudreaux, Tiffany Boudreaux, Addison Boudreaux, Lily Boudreaux, Reece Foret, Conner Guidry, Madison Guidry, Blaine G. Bernice was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She was passionate about gardening and fishing. She was a fun loving person who will be missed by all her loved ones.
