Andy J. Chiasson Sr., 66, a native of Larose and resident of Galliano, passed away Saturday ,Feb. 8, 2014.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Hope Curole Chiasson; son, Andy J. Chiasson Jr.; daughter, Faith Chiasson Michot and husband, Jim; brothers, Raynold "Ray" Chiasson Jr. and Barbara, Tommy Chiasson and Kathleen, Keith Chiasson and Gwen, and Chad Chiasson and Tina; mother-in-law, Adele Guidry Curole; sister-in-law, Robbin Danos and Mike; brother-in-law, Reynolds Curole and Sylvia; and grandchildren, Kevin Michot, Ticy Basulito, Alivia B., Ava Chiasson, and Layne Chiasson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raynold Sr. and Theresa Orgeron Chiasson; and father-in-law, Johnny Curole.
In his youth, Andy was a cattleman and a butcher. He was a softball coach and a butcher for 50 years. He was a U.S. Army
veteran who served in Korea during the Vietnam War
. Andy was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
