Beverly Callahan Darcey, 87, a native of Houma, and resident of Gray, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at 10:50 a.m.
Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery, Bayou Blue. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church., Bayou Blue. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her, daughters: Sally Baldassaro and husband Joseph of Marrero, La., Kay Samanie and husband Leo of Bayou Blue, La.; sisters, Ruth Gillum and husband Leon of OK; grandchildren, Shauntelle Porche, Corey Porche and wife Donna, Clint Porche and wife Niki, Anjoli Duet and Fiance' John, and Renee Lafont and husband Kyle; geat-grandchildren, Danielle and Taylor Samanie,Caleb Romero, Macy and Caden Porche, Carter Porche and infant Cohen ,Devin Babin and Allie Soileau, and Maddison Punch and Kooper Lafont; and great-great-grandchildren, Kynlee Vicknair; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Harold Paul Darcey; parents, Caliste Alphonse Callahan and Ida Callahan; brothers, Earl "Tom" Callahan Ben Callahan Elwood "Blackie" Callahan Clayton Callahan C.A. Callahan; sisters, Hilda Gaillard Zoie Folkes and Eula Thibodaux.
She was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
