Dudley James Hebert, 81, a native and resident of Gibson, died at 9:35 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Bayou Black Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Ralph J. Hebert and wife, Arlene, Steve J. Hebert and wife, Bambi, and Kim P. Hebert and wife, Erica; companion, Verna Pellegrin; grandchildren, Brandi, Christian, Heather, Beanie, Kaci, Cameron and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Karter, Skylar, Benton and Easton; and brothers, Irvin Hebert Jr. and wife, Earline, and Aubon Hebert and wife, Jane.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Trahan Hebert; and parents, Irvin Paul Hebert Sr. and Dielie Hebert Hebert.
He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Navy
Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
