Frances Ann Crump Modisette, 79, a native of Haynesville, and resident of Gray, died at 3:42 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at First Baptist Church in Houma. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, with a graveside service at 4 p.m. Friday in Shady Grove Cemetery in Haynesville.
She is survived by her husband, James Osburn Modisette, of Gray; daughters, Marr Shan Cagle and husband, Willard, of Sicily, Italy, Cidney Ordoyne and husband, Timmy, of Schriever, and Darcee Bex and husband, Russell, of Lafayette; grandchildren, Drew and Derrick Pope, Dallas, Matthew and Megan Cagle, Blake and Baylor Ordoyne, and Logan and Ryan Bex; great-grandchildren, Alexis Pope, Samantha Pope, Brayden Ordoyne, Aaden Pope and Aubrianna Pope; and brother, Charles "Wayne" Crump and companion, Nancy Ellington, of Shreveport.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Albert Jack Crump and Eula Mae Rinicker Crump,
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Houma.
Frances taught for more than 30 years at Terrebonne and H.L. Bourgeois High Schools. She then became a member of the Terrebonne Parish School Board for eight years. For the past 10 years she was the guidance counselor at Upper Little Caillou Elementary School, Point-aux-Chenes Elementary School and Boudreaux Canal Elementary School.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, 7200 Desiard Street, Monroe, LA.
