Gail Marie Bonvillain Hebert, 67, a native of Houma, passed away at 2:24 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 of cancer. She was born and raised on Southdown Plantation in Houma.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday at the Houma Shrine Club. The memorial service will be announced at a later date.
She is remembered by her loving husband of 48 years, Stephen Hebert; sons, Joey Hebert and wife, Debbie and Bruce Hebert; one daughter, Halee Hebert Degruise; her brothers, Leroy Bonvillain, Myron Bonvillain, Stevie Bonvillain and sister, Merilyn Bonvillain Arceneaux; her grandchildren, Abigail Degruise, Andrew Hebert, Haley Morvant, Marissa Lausen and Destin Lausen.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred Bonvillain; her mother Hazel Robichaux Bonvillain; and her sister, Lolita Bonvillain Duplantis.
She was a homemaker and loved playing bingo, going to the casino and riding in the Krewe of Mardi Gras.
She was loved by many and opened her heart to everyone she met. She was a kind and warm spirit. She did not know a stranger and touched many lives with her generosity and kindness. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for the love and wonderful care she received.
