James Anthony LeBlanc, 56, a native of Gibson and a resident of Bayou L'Ourse, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bayou Black. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Jared LeBlanc and wife, Holli, Jade LeBlanc Griffin and husband, Joshua, Jayce LeBlanc, Josey LeBlanc, Jordan LeBlanc, Juy LeBlanc and Jaime LeBlanc; the mother of his children, Anne LeBlanc; his grandchildren, Kenzie Landry, Madison Burleson, Alli LeBlanc, Lexie Griffin, Jolie' LeBlanc, Alea LeBlanc, Jayce LeBlanc Jr., Jailyn LeBlanc, Jenna LeBlanc, Jathan LeBlanc, Hayden Padgett, Jessa LeBlanc, Payslie Griffin; his mother, Annabelle Arceneaux LeBlanc; his siblings, Juanita Romero, Jean Lamothe, Johnny LeBlanc, Jeffery LeBlanc, Jesse LeBlanc, Joanne McIntire, Julie Tooke, Joyce Blackmon; and his best friend, Gary Gremillion.
He was preceded in death by his father: Abel LeBlanc; and his siblings, Jeanette Porche and Jay LeBlanc.
He was a hard worker, a perfectionist, very generous, touching and tender hearted, always willing to lend a helping hand and loved to hunt and fish. He loved working in his garden, cooking, spending time with his family and loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. The world is a better place because he was in it, and we are all better people for having been blessed to know him. We will all miss his wonderful smile.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
