Mary Boudreaux Marcel, 72, a native and resident of Houma, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerald Eugene Marcel; daughters, Tina Nelton and husband, Allen Nelton, Janet Wickersham, Kathie Shoultz and husband, Dean Shoultz, and Gayle Marcel; grandchildren, Joshua Wickersham, Heather Domangue, Jessie Miles, Kristin Cenac, Summer Dugas, Tristin Dugas, Taylor Shoultz, Amanda Nelton and Sydnee Shoultz; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Claude "Boogie" Boudreaux and wife, Linda; and sister, Barbara Babin and husband, Tommy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Boudreaux and Francis Sagona Boudreaux; son, Gerald "Bozo" Marcel Jr.; and sisters, Lucy Domangue and Betty Bollette.
She was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. She loved to camp and travel. She enjoyed going to the casino. She was a very loving grandmother.
