Peggy Davis Henry, 79, a native and resident of Houma, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Annunziata Catholic Church in Houma. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth Charles "K.C." Henry of Houma; her sons, Mark Henry and wife, Bette of Houma, David Henry and wife, Dawn of Houma; her daughters, Sharon Henry of Houma, Patricia Wojahn and husband, David of Centennial, Colo., and Mary "Liz" Matherne and husband, Ronnie of Clinton; her grandchildren, Scotti Henry, Brandon Henry, Jennifer Henry and husband, Daniel, Lauren Henry, Robert Wojahn and wife, Whitney, Amanda Wojahn, Crystal Pellegrin and husband, Jeremiah, and Shaun Lucas; one sister, Kerry Davis of Houma; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Captain George Davis and Marguerite Babin Davis; one sister, Mary Davis Herrmann; and one brother, Richard Davis.
She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church, served as Terrebonne Parish Registrar of Voters for 15 years and was a longtime member of the Krewe of Hyacinthians, serving as both president and vice-president of the organization.
Peggy's family would like to thank her care givers, Dr. Russell Henry, Bayou Home Care, St. Catherine's Hospice and Home Instead.
