Richard Bradley, Jr.

Richard L. Bradley, Jr., 81, a native of Gallatin, Tenn. and a resident of Houma, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. A burial followed in the Gallatin City Cemetery with family and friends serving as pall bearers.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wanda King Bradley; son, Richard L. Bradley III of Houma; daughters, Sandra B. Nash and husband, Doyle of Friendswood, Texas and Ann Bradley of Houma; grandchildren, Richard L. Bradley IV, Connor Nash, and Nicole Nash; brother, Ernest Bradley of Gallatin, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Rose King Cotten and husband, Jim of Natchez, Miss.; numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard L. Bradley Sr. and Sadie Lowery Bradley, and his brother Billy Bradley.

After serving in the Korean War, he graduated from Tenn. Tech University. He worked 32 years for Schlumberger Well Services as an engineer. He enjoyed gardening, visiting family and friends, touring old homes, going to Amelia Belle, and watching New Orleans Saints games.

He will always be remembered by his family and friends.
