Rivers Mitchell

Rivers Mitchell, 76, a native and resident of Four Corners, died at 6:15 a.m. March 20 at his home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Church in Four Corners. Burial will follow in Sorrell Community Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Dorothy Polidore Mitchell; eight sons, Clegis, Charles, Oscar, Rivers, Melvin, William and Fred Polidore, and Herman R. Mitchell and one adopted son, Junius Taylor; five sisters, Doretha Charles, Oreila Keys, Sophia Sutton, Clara Darby and Ora Lee Keal; one uncle, Steven Edwards; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Albertha C. Mitchell; one brother, Joseph Charles; and two sisters, Mary Ann Jack and Josephine Harding.
