John Prejean Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. Pallbearers will be: Darrel Landry, Pernell Robertson, Danny LeCompte, J.D. LeCompte, Bobbie Hidalgo and Aaron Robertson.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Marie Clark Prejean; son, David Prejean and wife, Katie; daughter, Elaine Bayus and husband, Frank; sister, Velma "Larrie" Dill: grandchildren, Stacy P. Bascle and husband, Kevin, Jerry Prejean and wife, Vicky, Jennifer B. Landry and husband, Darrel, and Angela B. Robertson and husband, Pernell; 10 great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Odele Breaux Prejean; and brothers, Leonie, Clay, Ivy and Ferdinand Prejean.
John was a World War II U.S. Army veteran who served in the African and Italian campaigns. He was a farmer and later a carpenter contractor. He loved to fish, hunt and garden. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Uncle John touched so many lives and will be missed. He was a wonderful uncle and loved by many. He was a great example of what a father is to me since my father died when I was 8. I always looked up to him. He will me missed mostly by his wife of 72 years! What a blessing to have him in my life.

Ms Marie and family,,we don't have the right words to say about the loss of your loved one mr john,,,,,we will miss him terriblly ,as y'all neighbors for 38 yrs we became very close to both of you ,,he was more like a dad to us and felt so honored to help you and him in any way we could,,,we love him and will miss him so much,,but I know he. Will still be in your house watching over all of y'all an us,,,,love you and your entire family Danny and Lou and family,,,,
