Just learned of the death of Clyde Orgeron. He was my English teacher, principal(during my brief teaching career), mentor, and friend. Any time he heard of some achievement(major or minor)in my life, he called or sent me an encouraging note. I'm sure he did the same for other former students. Clyde was supportive, challenging, and inspirational. That, to me, is the true definition of an outstanding teacher. RIP my friend.
