Davis Plaisance Obituary

Davis P. Plaisance, 88, a native and resident of Cut Off, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Charles Paul Plaisance and wife, Lisa; daughter, Paula Plaisance Guidry and husband, Keith; stepdaughter-in-law, Janice LeBlanc; grandchildren, Ashley Guidry, Rachel Guidry and companion, Ashley T. Guidry, Gage Gisclair, and Gary Gisclair Jr.; great-grandchildren, Noah and Bentley Guidry, and Abigail Gisclair.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Rogers Plaisance; stepson, Gary Gisclair Sr.; parents, Charles and Julienne Raymond Plaisance; brother, Eno Plaisance; and sisters, Winnie Plaisance Savoie, Minola Plaisance Badeaux and Bertha Pitre.
He loved spending time with his family and working in the yard and garden. He also enjoyed fixing things.
The family would like to thank Elizabeth Gisclair, Clayton Bossier, and Hospice of South Louisiana, for their excellent service and care during this time.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
