Gerald Barbier Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beatrice Matherne Barbier; son, Gerald J. Barbier Jr. and wife, Monique; daughters, Donna Maldonado and husband, Stephen, and Nicole Breaux and husband, Terry; seven grandchildren; and sisters, Patricia Cortez, Margaret Chaisson and Leslie Jean Ledet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Barbier Sr. and Gladys Brignac Barbier; and brothers, Percy T. Barbier and Hubert J. Barbier Jr.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
